I got a new vibrator and wanted to show you. It cost a hundred dollars at the local sex toy shop. That was a usual price there.
My old vibrator was too small. I like its cuteness and dark blueness. The way it has two separate vibrating sides is cool.
But my body needs a long handle or just more to grasp. My beautiful, unique body is fat and disabled. Reaching my vulva to rub for five, ten, or 20 minutes is not easy. Pillows can be arranged just so–that helps. But I’m in pain by default, unfortunately.
long
My new vibrator is long. That’s how it impressed me. I asked the sex shop worker if there was anything with longer handles made for disabled people. She said not specifically, but the longer vibrators might work.
There’s a part of the store where many vibrators are arranged to touch, and they’re charged, so you can feel (with your hands at least) what the sensations feel like. My spouse was drawn to this one because it has motion in the shaft as well as vibrating action. He was curious–he was helping me evaluate and choose.
A hundred dollars is a lot of money, but I hoped the new vibrator was something I’d use a lot. It made sense to get one that would work well for my body, and my spouse is my sexual collaborator. I was happy to consider his opinion. Without agonizing, this is the vibrator I chose.
lube
When I was paying, the worker asked if I needed lube also, and I did. She showed me the lube station which has many testers of lube, and tissues as well as wipies so you can put some on your hand, feel the viscosity, and smell them.
I chose some lube of a brand I’ve been ok with before, although lube is challenging. The health of my vulva feels precarious, especially lately, with the balance of yeast and bacteria. Putting anything unnecessary on or in my cunt feels like more of a risk than I want to take.
But I’d rather have some lube around if I need it, than wish for lube and not have any. So I bought a small bottle of sliquid–not the little travel size, but the smallest regular bottle.
The worker tried to sell me a larger bottle, saying how it’s a better deal. But I don’t use much lube and fear contaminating it. A smaller bottle seems safer, to switch them out more frequently. I use only a few drops at a time.
how I like it
It’s a good vibrator, with many variations of vibration, like my old vibrator–multiple vibration patterns and intensities. It does the trick to get me almost to orgasm, and then I prefer to switch to my hand, which feels way better to come on. If I try to come on the vibrator, it’s too much sensation at that critical moment.
The first time I used it, I had the sense–Wow, that was worth a hundred dollars right there! That’s a good feeling, that I’d made a worthwhile investment.
The aspect of the moving parts in the shaft is wasted on me. When I inserted the vibrator into my cunt, I could not really feel that shaft movement. But it’s very loud. It makes a weird churning sound. So I leave that part off and use the vibrator just on my clit, so far. I’m glad the controls for those two aspects are separate.
harnesses
At the store I looked at the harnesses also, to attach a dildo or vibrator to my body, to help me thrust into someone else’s body, such as down my spouse’s throat. None of the harnesses seemed right for me, and I want to ponder that whole project more. My spouse isn’t begging for it, and my girlfriend and I are not there right now.
But I could do it for myself–it doesn’t need to be for other people. It could be an aspect of gender affirming play in private. Historically I’m not into costuming or gear, and spending a hundred dollars plus the $12 for lube was enough. I might be in a fat group on social media where I could ask for harness recommendations.
